Websol Energy System has received a Government Order from the Andhra Pradesh Industries & Commerce Department approving its proposed 4 GW solar cell and 4 GW solar module greenfield manufacturing facility at MPSEZ, Naidupeta in Tirupati district. This follows an MOU signed with APEDB on 15th November 2025. The company will also set up a 100 MW captive solar power plant to support the facility. AP Government has offered an incentive package including land allotment, fixed capital investment subsidy, power tariff reimbursement, electricity duty exemption, water charge subsidy, and stamp duty exemption. Websol's existing facility at Falta SEZ in West Bengal currently has 1,200 MW solar cell and 550 MW module capacity, meaning this expansion represents a roughly 3x to 7x increase in capacity.
This is a major capacity expansion that could significantly boost future revenue potential, supported by attractive government incentives that reduce project costs. The stock may see positive sentiment, though execution risk, funding requirements, and timeline for commissioning remain key factors for investors to watch.
