Welspun Corp's Board approved FY2026 audited results showing revenue of Rs 16,770 crores (up 20% YoY) but net profit declined to Rs 1,620 crores from Rs 1,902 crores in FY2025. The company recommended a final dividend of Rs 5 per share (100% payout) subject to shareholder approval. Two capacity expansion projects were completed: upgrading the Anjar spiral facility into a hybrid Spiral/LSAW pipe unit and commissioning a new 3 million sq.mtr coating plant at Bhopal. Separately, the company approved sale of its 26% stake (48,599 shares) in Clean Max Dhyuthi Private Limited to promoter group entity Welpsun Living Limited for Rs 760 lakhs, following which CleanMax will cease to be an associate company.
Mixed signals for investors: strong revenue growth and higher dividend are positive, but the 14.8% decline in net profit despite higher revenue warrants attention. The associate stake sale to promoter group appears to be internal restructuring with minimal direct impact on listed company valuation.
