On the reaction day the stock moved in line with Nifty Microcap 250 and 0.5 pts more than its Civil Construction peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Welspun Enterprises received an acceptance letter from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for a 910 MLD water treatment plant at Panjrapur. The contract is worth Rs 3,145 crore, including Rs 1,156 crore for 15 years of operation and maintenance. Construction is planned within 48 months. The order lifts the reported standalone order book to Rs 14,627 crore and the consolidated order book to about Rs 16,330 crore.
The large domestic order improves revenue visibility and strengthens the water business, but its long timeline creates execution and margin risk.
