Welspun Enterprises has received a Letter of Award from Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation (MSIDC) for constructing a 6-lane partially elevated highway corridor on NH-753F between Pune and Shirur in Maharashtra. The project spans 53.40 km and will be developed under DBFOT (Toll) mode with a total cost of ~Rs. 7,300 crore. The concession period is 29 years including a 4-year construction phase. This award increases the company's outstanding order book from ~Rs. 13,341 crore to ~Rs. 18,755 crore, with the Transportation Vertical now accounting for ~Rs. 6,152 crore. The project is funded by the Government of India through MoRTH and implemented by the Government of Maharashtra via MSIDC.
This is a major contract win that significantly expands Welspun's order book by ~40%, boosting revenue visibility over the next 29 years. The project's scale and government backing provide strong execution credibility, though the long concession period means returns will be realized over decades through toll collection.
