Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off a Bulk Tiles Train from Western Carriers' 42-acre Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal at Devaliya in Morbi, Gujarat, marking its move from operational readiness to full commercial activation. The multimodal terminal will serve Gujarat's ceramics industry (around 5 million tonnes annually), salt, chemicals, fertiliser, agriculture, and MSME sectors. This follows WCIL's Kolkata General Cargo Terminal launch on September 11, strengthening its presence across India's East-West freight corridor.
Terminal activation expands WCIL's logistics capacity and revenue potential, strengthening its East-West corridor footprint.
