Zelio E-Mobility opens new Coimbatore plant, adds 60,000 units capacity

Zelio E-Mobility inaugurated a new 39,000 sq. ft. plant in Coimbatore on July 13, 2026, adding 60,000 units per annum capacity. Total capacity rises 33% to 2,40,000 units annually. The plant will serve southern markets across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and South Maharashtra. Investment is up to Rs 1 crore from internal accruals. Initial phase output is targeted at 24,000 to 30,000 units. Revenue grew 81.8 percent YoY to Rs 313.68 crore in FY26.
Capacity expansion supports growth, but existing utilization is only 40 percent and capex is small at Rs 1 crore, so near-term financial impact is limited.
