Zydus Lifesciences, through its UAE subsidiary, has entered an exclusive licensing and supply partnership with Germany-based Formycon AG for FYB206, a biosimilar of Merck's blockbuster cancer drug Keytruda (Pembrolizumab), in the US and Canada. Formycon will develop, manufacture and supply the product while Zydus will handle commercialization. A BLA filing with USFDA is expected soon. The deal marks Zydus' entry into the North American biosimilar market and complements its proposed acquisition of Agenus Inc.'s US manufacturing facilities.
Positive - entry into the high-value North American biosimilar oncology market, boosting future revenue potential.
