What this company actually does

Read out of the prospectus’s business section, stripped of its marketing language.

The company manufactures and markets confectionery products in India under two consumer brands — 'Hugs' (mass-market, mostly priced at ₹10 or below) and 'Tosca' (mass-premium, including oat/cereal-based bars). Its portfolio spans four categories — baked treats, choco delights, jellies, and panned & sugar candies — across 300+ SKUs, plus food and bakery ingredients (cocoa products, custard powder, premixes) supplied to HoReCa and industrial buyers. It also does private-label manufacturing and exports to the Middle East, South Asia and Europe.

How it earns

Revenue comes from selling in-house manufactured branded and private-label confectionery and food ingredients, distributed primarily through 300+ super stockists that supply kirana stores, with smaller volumes via online platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Kirana Club, Swiggy Instamart), modern trade (Walmart, Metro, Lots) and exports.

Who buys

No named end-customers or concentration percentages are stated (B2C via distributors). Sales channels: super stockists (~95.9% of FY26 revenue, 344 super stockists as of March 31, 2026), online platforms Amazon/Flipkart/Meesho/Kirana Club/Swiggy Instamart (~1.9%), modern trade Walmart/Metro/Lots (~0.6%), private label (~1.1%) and exports (~0.5%).

Scale

2 manufacturing facilities (Delhi/Samaipur and Sonipat, Haryana); installed capacity ~17,100 MTPA, set to rise to ~34,500 MTPA post-Sonipat consolidation; 398 SKUs and 344 super stockists as of March 31, 2026; products distributed across ~24 Indian states; FY26 revenue from operations ₹19,261.52 lakhs (~₹192.6 crore; 1 crore = 100 lakh).

What it says sets it apart

  • Differentiated product formats: developed category-specific innovations such as 'Dip Sticks' (biscuit sticks with chocolate cream) and 'Push Up' (cone-based cream-and-biscuit snack at ₹5 MRP); 'Tosca Oat Choco' contains ~33% less sugar than certain leading chocolate bars per internal testing.
  • Mass-market price-point positioning: majority of Hugs SKUs priced at ₹10 or below, aligned with the Ken Report finding that 86% of confectionery purchase intent falls in the ₹1–10 range and 68% of non-adult consumers buy chocolate at ≤₹10.
  • Super-stockist-led distribution reaching kirana stores across ~24 states, tapping the channel that accounts for 92% of Indian grocery consumption; only ~5 super stockists serve export markets, indicating domestic concentration.
  • Fully in-house manufacturing at Delhi and Sonipat (Haryana) handling five distinct formulation bases — fat-based, milk-based, cocoa-based, water-based and sugar-based confectionery — using machinery from Turkey, China and Indonesia plus domestic ancillary equipment.
  • In-house product development team of food and packaging technologists that runs internal evaluation across taste, stability, manufacturability and shelf life before commercialisation, supporting continuous SKU additions (267 SKUs as of June 30, 2026; 398 as of March 31, 2026).
