Adani Ports handled 41.9 MMT of total cargo in December 2025, up 9% year-on-year, led by a strong 18% YoY growth in containers. On a year-to-date basis (April-December 2025), total cargo volumes reached 367.3 MMT, an 11% YoY increase, with container volumes rising 21% YoY. Logistics rail volumes were flat YoY in December at 59,037 TEUs, but up 11% YoY for the YTD period at 528,872 TEUs. GPWIS (coal handling) volumes softened, declining 7% YoY to 1.8 MMT in December, though remaining flat on a YTD basis at 16.1 MMT.
Strong double-digit container growth and steady overall cargo expansion reinforce APSEZ's operational momentum heading into the final quarter, which is likely to be viewed positively by investors. However, the continued weakness in GPWIS coal volumes remains a soft spot worth monitoring.
