Adani Ports (APSEZ) signed an MoU with France's Port of Marseille Fos to strengthen India-Europe trade under the IMEC corridor. The partnership proposes an IMEC Ports Club, a Mundra-Marseille Fos Green Maritime Corridor, and joint work on clean fuels and port digitalisation. Marseille Fos adds around 70 million tonnes of capacity as the western European gateway. APSEZ currently handles 633 MTPA cargo, about 28 percent of India's port volumes, targeting 1 billion tonnes by 2030. The MoU was signed during French President Macron's India visit.
Strategic MoU bolsters APSEZ's position in India-EU trade via IMEC corridor; positive for long-term cargo volumes, no immediate financial impact.
