Mr. Anup Kumar Saha has resigned as Managing Director and Director of Bajaj Finance with effect from close of business on 21 July 2025, citing personal reasons. He also ceases to be a Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of the company. To ensure continuity of management, the Board has re-designated Mr. Rajeev Jain — who was already Executive Vice-Chairman — as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director (VC & MD) for the remainder of his existing term ending 31 March 2028. Rajeev Jain is an internal appointee and was already part of the company's leadership, so this is a seamless internal succession rather than a fresh external hire. The transition is immediate, and the Board has placed on record its appreciation for Mr. Saha's services.
Shareholders should note a leadership change at the top, but continuity is preserved since Rajeev Jain (a long-standing senior leader) takes over additional MD responsibilities. Markets may react mildly to the sudden exit, though 'personal reasons' and a clear succession plan should limit any major negative impact on the stock.
