On the reaction day the stock moved 0.9 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 2.2 pts more than its Industrial Manufacturing peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Following an Economic Times report claiming Cochin Shipyard received orders to build 40 ships from the US, Germany, Norway and other nations, the company clarified that all existing orders including export orders have already been disclosed to stock exchanges. The only new order disclosed today is from subsidiary Hooghly-CSL for two Luxury River Cruise vessels from Heritage River Journeys. CSL stated it has no further firm orders to report beyond what is already public.
Denial of the 40 ship order claim. The only new order disclosed is two small river cruise vessels via subsidiary, well short of the rumour.
