G R Infraprojects Limited has completed the acquisition of Rajgarh Neemuch Power Transmission Limited (RNPTL) from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) for a cash consideration of Rs. 18.88 crore. The deal gives G R Infraprojects 100% ownership (all 50,000 equity shares), making RNPTL a wholly owned subsidiary effective 29th September 2025. RNPTL was newly incorporated on 17th June 2025 and operates in the power transmission sector. The acquisition is linked to a Letter of Intent received by G R Infraprojects for setting up transmission infrastructure to evacuate power from renewable energy projects in Rajgarh (1500 MW) and Neemuch (1000 MW) zones in Madhya Pradesh. The transaction is not a related party deal and no government approvals are required.
This acquisition is a positive strategic move as it secures the special purpose vehicle needed to execute a major renewable energy transmission project in Madhya Pradesh, adding a new business vertical beyond the company's traditional road EPC focus. For shareholders, it signals order book expansion in the high-growth power transmission space, though the deal size (~Rs. 19 crore) is small relative to the company's overall scale.
