Gabriel India board approved a JV with Faurecia Automotive Seating India (FASI) for passenger vehicle seats. Gabriel will invest about Rs 50 crore in two tranches (Rs 10 crore now, Rs 40 crore at closing), holding 50% minus 1 share. FASI holds 50% plus 1 share, nominates Chairman and COO. Total JV capital: Rs 100 crore. Closing expected by 31 Dec 2026.
Strategic diversification into passenger seating with global partner Faurecia. About Rs 50 crore investment is modest; positive for long-term growth.
