Hyundai Motor Group announced a USD 15.5 billion investment in India from 2026 through 2032, covering manufacturing expansion, R&D (about USD 700 million for the R&D center), local supplier development, and future mobility ventures. A dedicated investment entity will be set up in India to manage execution. India is positioned as a core export hub. The group currently has over 1.4 million units annual capacity across HMIL Chennai, HMIL Pune, and Kia India Anantapur, and employs more than 24,000 people in India.
Major long-term capex commitment signals robust growth outlook; supports future volumes, jobs and ecosystem, but execution spans 7 years.
