Hyundai Motor India has started commercial production of Passenger Vehicle Engines at its new Talegaon manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, effective June 16, 2025. The Talegaon plant is a new facility located in MIDC Talegaon Industrial Area. The company has separately stated that commencement of full Passenger Vehicle assembly at the same plant will be announced later. This marks a key step in the company's capacity expansion plans in India.
Positive for shareholders as it signals the company is on track with its capacity build-out, which could support higher future volumes and improve supply chain integration. Near-term stock impact is likely limited since commercial vehicle sales from this plant are yet to begin.
