Kernex Microsystems, in a consortium with KEC, has received a Letter of Acceptance from West Central Railways, Bhopal for the Provision of KAVACH (India's indigenous Automatic Train Protection system) on UHF backbone with OFC route diversity across the Itarsi-Khandwa, Bina-Ruthiyai and associated sections of Bhopal Division. The accepted bid value is Rs. 151.41 Crores (including 18% GST), to be executed within 600 days. This is a domestic order with no related-party interest. The cumulative KAVACH orders bagged by the company (along with consortium partners) since April 1, 2024 now stand at Rs. 3,136.53 Crores (incl. GST), indicating a strong order inflow pipeline.
This is a meaningful positive development for shareholders — the order strengthens Kernex's already substantial KAVACH order book and provides multi-year revenue visibility. Government railway safety orders support steady execution, though consortium structure means Kernex's share of revenue will be a portion of the total value.
