Mr. R Doraiswamy has ceased to be the Managing Director of LIC with effect from July 14, 2025, following his elevation to the post of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) of the Corporation. The change has been effected as per a Government of India notification dated July 14, 2025. This is an internal leadership transition where the same person has moved from a single MD designation to a combined CEO & MD role. The disclosure has been made to both BSE and NSE under SEBI Listing Regulations.
There is no disruption for shareholders as this is a continuity of leadership with the same person taking on a higher combined role, which may be viewed neutrally or positively as a sign of stable governance at LIC.
