Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders has received a purchase order worth about Rs 118 crore (including GST) from Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company (MSETCL). The order covers supply, installation and commissioning of an AI-based Infrasecure Project for five substations, to be completed in 24 months. The order is domestic and not a related party deal. This marks a diversification into power sector infrastructure beyond its core defence shipbuilding business.
Diversification win beyond defence; order value is small relative to MAZDOCK's main shipbuilding book, so limited near-term impact.
