NDR Auto Components has entered into a 50-50 joint venture with Hayashi Telempu, a Japanese auto components company with USD 2.1 billion in sales in 2024. Both partners will equally invest ₹33.30 crore each (total ₹66.60 crore) to set up the JV. The JV will exclusively bring Hayashi Telempu's range of products — focused on noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) control and cabin comfort — to the Indian market. The JV has already secured its first order from Toyota for Ambient Lighting products. NDR Auto's Whole Time Director mentioned plans to eventually manufacture some of these products in India. Hayashi Telempu brings scale with 3,700+ employees, 400+ in-house engineers, and operations across 40+ global locations.
This is a positive development for shareholders — NDR Auto is partnering with a large, established global player and has already landed an order from a major OEM (Toyota), which could open up new revenue streams. The modest capital commitment of ₹33.30 crore keeps risk limited while giving NDR access to new product categories beyond its existing seating solutions business.
