On the reaction day the stock moved 0.8 pts less than Nifty 100 and 1.0 pts less than its Public Sector Bank peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

Punjab National Bank has disclosed that the Indian Banks Association (IBA) has informed that three major bank employee unions — AIBEA, AIBOA, and BEFI — have called a nationwide strike on Wednesday, 09 July 2025. The Bank has stated it has put in place measures to ensure normal business operations continue. However, it acknowledged that if the strike does take place, it may temporarily affect day-to-day operations at some branches and offices. The filing has been made under SEBI's Regulation 30 disclosure requirements to keep the stock exchanges informed.
Short-term and limited — a one-day strike may cause temporary disruption to branch services and customer transactions, but the bank expects normalcy to be restored quickly. Typically, such strike notices have minimal lasting impact on a large PSU bank's stock price or financial performance.
