On the reaction day the stock moved 1.4 pts less than Nifty Microcap 250 and 1.0 pts less than its Diversified Retail peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Shoppers Stop completed a second tranche of Rs 10 crore in Global SS Beauty Brands, its wholly owned beauty subsidiary, by subscribing to 1,000 non-cumulative, optionally convertible preference shares at Rs 1 lakh each. Total preference share investment rose to Rs 135 crore under a Rs 40 crore approval. The funds will support expansion and working capital. GSSBBL's FY26 turnover was Rs 379.75 crore, and ownership remains 100%.
The funding supports subsidiary growth but raises Shoppers Stop's capital commitment. Ownership and control do not change because GSSBBL was already wholly owned.
