On the reaction day the stock moved 1.3 pts more than Nifty 100 and 1.7 pts more than its Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Following the NCLT-sanctioned demerger of its Commercial Vehicles Business into TML Commercial Vehicles Limited effective October 1, 2025, Tata Motors reported the transfer of 43,26,651 Tata Capital shares (0.10 percent of paid-up capital) from the old Tata Motors (now renamed Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles) to the new Tata Motors. The acquisition is exempt from making an open offer under SEBI Regulation 10(1)(d)(ii) as it is part of the sanctioned composite scheme of arrangement.
Routine intra-group share transfer arising from an already completed demerger. No open offer triggered and negligible impact on Tata Capital shareholders.
