Tenneco Clean Air India Limited's material subsidiary, Tenneco Automotive India Private Limited, has received board approval to set up a new factory in Western India. The expansion will add approximately 2.1 million units per annum of Front Strut and Rear Shock Absorbers. This represents about 10.7% increase over the existing capacity of 19.69 million units per annum. The INR 690 million investment will be funded through internal accruals and implemented in a phased manner over FY 2026-27 and FY 2027-28. The rationale cited is growth in demand and improving manufacturing footprint in Western India.
This capacity expansion signals positive growth prospects for the company, indicating strong demand for its products. The investment being funded through internal accruals without external debt is a healthy sign for shareholders.
