Each company is counted once, on the day its board met to approve the results. Reporting near the deadline is allowed and common; it says nothing about the results themselves.
How it is measured
Each company is counted once, on the day its board met to approve results for the quarter ended 30 Jun 2026, from board meeting announcements filed on BSE between 1 Jul and 28 Sep 2026. 126 companies had more than one results meeting on file (usually a postponement), so each is counted on its latest one. The deadline is 14 Aug: 45 days after quarter end (60 for the March quarter). Our records start on 3 Jul, so any meeting before that is not covered; the chart starts there. 61 of the 78 late meetings fall after the last day drawn.
Meetings scheduled after 28 Sep are not counted. A second source (the last results date we hold per company, 3,065 companies) puts 38% in the same three days.
