What this is: a count of the kind of every chart, as MarketPing's AI read it slide by slide. What it is not: a view on what any chart shows, or whether it is right. Photos (1,13,496 of them), maps, tables, timelines and diagrams are not counted as charts.
How it is measured
Every investor presentation a listed company filed between 9 Apr 2025 to 5 Aug 2026 (6,889 presentations, 2,26,842 slides, from 1,613 companies) was read slide by slide by MarketPing's AI, which named the kind of each picture on each slide. A presentation filed on both NSE and BSE, or filed twice, is counted once: 8,109 copies collapse to 6,889 presentations. Charts counted: bar (stacked bars folded in), donut, line, pie and waterfall, plus "everything else": area, scatter, bubble, funnel, gauge, bar-and-line combos, lollipop, dot, treemap and unnamed charts.
Not counted as charts: photo (1,13,496), other (42,949), process (15,976), map (6,507), table (4,688), timeline (4,595) and 673 other non-chart visuals. 1,224 visuals the reading called "other" mention a chart in their description, mostly decorative chart icons; counted either way the share of bar charts stays three in four. Some presentations were only partly read, so "in N presentations" is a floor. This counts kinds of chart, not what they show or whether they are right.
